Conglomerate to use yard acquisition to strengthen green shipping and defense projects

South Korean conglomerate Hanwha, which could be overtaking shipyard DSME, plans to use the acquisition to increase its activities within sustainable shipping.

If conglomerate Hanwha takes over major South Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), the acquisition will be used to strengthen Hanwha’s activities within the green transformation of shipping as well as in relation to defense projects, according to news agency Yonhap.
