Zeronorth, a Danish IT company that helps shipping companies become greener, has secured a contract with the Louis Dreyfus Company.

The contract covers almost 200 ships that the French company leases to transport agricultural products, among other products, all over the world.

Using data, Zeronorth will ensure that the ships are operated more efficiently, using less fuel and emitting less CO2.

”We’re proud to be working with a sustainability-driven organization like LDC and are looking forward to helping them achieve their ambitious decarbonization goals,” says Søren Meyer, CEO of Zeronorth.

Zeronorth was launched under the auspices of the shipping company Maersk Tankers, but is today an independent company with Maersk owner A.P. Moller Holding and commodity company Cargill among its owners.
