Svitzer orders new tugboats that can run on used cooking oil

Engine manufacturer MAN will supply four engines for the new tugboats, which will be built at a Turkish shipyard.

Maersk’s towage service provider, Svitzer, is having two new tugboats built, which will be equipped with engines that can run on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO).
