Five of the world's ten biggest shipyards are now Chinese

With an average waiting time of three years for ships from one of Asia’s major shipyards, newbuild prices are expected to rise further in 2024.

There is zero available yard capacity at the world’s top 10 shipyards this year and next year – and less than five percent in 2026, according to figures from Maersk Broker.
