Authorities raid enginemaker on suspected data fraud

IHI Power Systems has been the target of a dawn raid following suspicions that the Japanese manufacturer has tampered with data on 4,200 engines.

Japanese authorities have carried out an inspection of engine manufacturer IHI Power Systems, which is suspected of tampering with fuel economy data for thousands of marine engines, among other things.
