Wintershall will invest EUR 4 billion over next five years

German oil producer Wintershall benefited from Norwegian oil extractions last year. Profits doubled, according to the latest annual report, even though the company's production in Libya was hit by the conflict in the troubled country.

”Ein neues Rekordergebnis.” German oil producer Wintershall is apparently doing remarkably well, as the carrier achieved - in its own words - "another record result."

According to the latest annual report, the German company improved its net result by 48 percent in 2013, to EUR 1.8 billion, thus achieving a profit of more than EUR 1 billion for the third year in a row.
