Australian-British mining company shipped all-time high volumes of iron ore in the 3rd quarter, while the company also increased the amount of iron ore produced in the period, according to the interim report.

The world's second-largest mining company Rio Tinto managed to strengthen both its production and shipping of iron ore in the 3rd quarter.
Norwegian Stolt-Nielsen, which has acquired shares in competitor Odfjell, benefitted from higher volumes and spot rates in the chemical tanker market and predicts further improvement in the market. The company is, however, not quite ready for ordering newbuilds.
