New job cuts on the way at Statoil

Up to 2,400 employees at the Norwegian oil giant Statoil could lose their jobs in a new round of budget cuts.

Statoil has performed several severe cutbacks in its workforce alongside the sliding oil price, and this trend will continue, report Norwegian media on Monday.
