Wärtsilä will deliver exhaust-cleansing systems, so-called scrubbers, for three container newbuildings of 2,500 teu each, writes the Finnish company in a press release Friday.

The order that comes from an unnamed but significant European shipowner concerns vessels under construction at the yard Jinhai Heavy Industry Co., Ltd in China. The contract was signed in March and the scrubber systems are expected to be delivered in December this year.
