UTi Worldwide shareholders clear DSV acquisition

Good news for the Danish transport group. Shareholders in US-based UTi Worldwide have at an extraordinary General Assembly approved DSV's acquisition of the company.

The shareholders in UTi have with an overwhelming majority approved Danish DSV's acquisition of the US-based transport and logistics unit, informs DSV in a statement. There are now not many steps left before the takeover can be finalized.

"Closing of the transaction is subject to relevant regulatory approval being obtained from competition authorities in South Africa, as well as satisfaction of other customary closing conditions," says DSV in the statement.
