Wärtsilä: Customers show understanding in engine fraud case

Wärtsilä has now been in touch with all of the affected customers in the case regarding test result manipulation on marine engines. The reaction has been "understanding and even supportive," a spokesperson tells ShippingWatch.

The Finnish engine manufacturer, Wärtsilä, has contacted all of the affected customers in the case regarding test result manipulation at the factory in Italy. This concludes the first step in the cleanup of the messy case.
