Alfa Laval edges closer to crucial ballast water application

Supplier Alfa Laval has now completed the necessary tests of the company's ballast water system and is ready to submit a new application to the US Coast Guard in the coming weeks.

After the US coast guard (USCG) in December opted not to approve Alfa Laval's ballast water system for use in US waters, the company changed tactics and relaunched a new test process in line with the required CMFDA / FDA test method in order to get an approval in 2016.
