Rio Tinto boosted iron ore production in Q2

Mining company Rio Tinto boosted the production of iron ore in Australia in the second quarter by eight percent, but according to Financial Times, this was not completely in line with analyst expectations.

Over the course of the second quarter, mining company Rio Tinto produced more than 80.9 million tons of iron ore at the company's mines in the Pilbara region in West Australia. This was an increase of eight percent compared to the second quarter of last year, according to a recent update.
