Clarksons notes slight growth for business in first half of 2016

UK-based broker and shipping service company Clarksons delivered a slight improvement in revenue and earnings in the first half of the year. The poor condition of shipping markets is dragging things down, notes the management.

Shipping service company Clarksons closed the first six months of the year with a growth in revenue from USD 188 million in the first half of 2015 to USD 190 million in the first half of this year.

Meanwhile, the result before taxes at the London-based company increased to USD 22.6 million in the first half of this year, up from about USD 14 million in the first half of 2015.
