South Korean yards could lose 27,000 jobs in H1

The South Korean shipbuilding sector could see upwards of 27,000 jobs disappear in the first half of the year, reports Korean media, citing new data. The number of new orders for the sector is expected to remain under pressure.

Things are not looking well for the South Korean shipbuilding sector, which is among the world's largest and accounts for a sizeable portion of the country's income – and this development is clearly reflected in the number of jobs in the sector.
