Singapore's Keppel yard has fired 18,000 people over two years

Divestments and redundancies have once again struck Singapore's major Keppel yard in the first quarter of 2017. Over the last two years, the yard has halved its global workforce, reads the report.

Although the oil price may be inching up after its plummet to the bottom and despite growing optimism in parts of the oil industry, there is continued concern about the future among the management of Singapore's major Keppel yard, which has just published its quarterly report.
