Daewoo leaves deficits behind in first half of 2017

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has, according to several sources, delivered a positive operating profit for the first half of 2017. This comes after several years of deficits, divestments, and layoffs.

South Korean Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) can now say goodbye to several years of deficits as it has, according to several industry sources, achieved an operating profit of KRW 700-800 billion for the first half of the year, around USD 625-715 million, reports The Korea Economic Daily.
