Norwegian shipyard lays off all 150 employees

A Norwegian shipyard plans to fire all of its 150 employees when the orderbook is empty next April. The yard's CEO promises to rehire workers if the situation improves.

Shipyard Simek in Norway has run out of orders and has now opted to lay off all of its 150 employees when the last vessels have been delivered, reports Norwegian business media E24 citing local media Avisen Agder.
