Media: South Korean yards cut costs and improve results

South Korea's three major shipbuilders have achieved positive operating results in this year's third quarter, sources tell news agency Yonhap. Cost reductions play key part in boosting the results at the shipyards.

The three major South Korean shipyards have once again been able to cut costs enough to trigger improved earnings, reports news agency Yonhap.

Sources tell the media that Samsung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering will all book positive operating results in the third quarter.
