Norwegian offshore carriers more optimistic about the future

Two of the biggest carriers in Norwegian offshore, Solstad Farstad and DOF Subsea, note in their annual reports that there is increased tender activity in the oil market, which indicates a better market in the future. The market has bottomed out, says Solstad Farstad.

There is a sliver of hope on the horizon for offshore carriers.

At any rate, Solstad Farstad and DOF Subsea both note in their annual reports for 2017 that tender activity has increased among oil companies, and that the oil price has stabilized at above USD 60 per barrel. This could result in better business fundamentals for offshore carriers going forward.
