Farstad wants to leave offshore merger and change the venture's name

The Farstad family wants to exit the Norwegian offshore merged company, Solstad Farstad, and also change its name, says Sverre A. Farstad, who recently stepped down from the board.

It has long been clear that the Farstad family was not a fan of the merger adopted by their distressed offshore carrier Farstad last year.

Now, it seems that the family's involvement is winding down, with one of the three brothers, Sverre A. Farstad opting to withdraw from the board in Solstad Farstad.
