Farstad family steps down from board of Norwegian offshore giant

Sverre Andreas Farstad has stepped down from the board of directors of Norwegian carrier Solstad Farstad with immediate effect. He has been a vocal critic of the consequences of the merger between several Norwegian offshore carriers last year.

Sverre Andreas Farstad has resigned down from the board of directors Norwegian offshore carrier Solstad Farstad, reveals the company in a brief press release.

It has not been revealed why he has chosen to step down, but Sverre Andreas Farstad has repeatedly criticized developments at Solstad Farstad. The merger between Solstad, Farstad and Deepsea Supply was finalized in early 2017, and in the summer it emerged that there would be numerous layoffs.
