Aker BP criticizes state aid: "We didn't ask for tax cuts"

Norway's politicians bestowed an unnecessary help package to the oil industry, says the CEO of one the of domestic sector's largest players, Aker BP's Karl Johnny Hersvik.

Norwegian Parliament gave an especially generous stimulus package to the country's oil companies in late April, says Aker BP Chief Executive Karl Johnny Hersvik.

"We didn't ask for tax cuts, but the way the system was finally put together resulted in lower income, and that was unnecessary," Hersvik tells media NRK in an interview.
