Equinor and BP join forces on US offshore wind

Norway's Equinor sells 50-percent stakes in two US offshore wind farms to BP, with the two groups thus forming a new strategic partnership in the market.

Norwegian energy company Equinor signs a deal with BP and sells two half stakes in US Eastern Seaboard offshore wind developments Empire Wind and Beacon Wind for a total pre-adjustment price of USD 1.1 billion, Equinor informs in a press statement Thursday morning.
