Aker Offshore Wind, part of Norwegian magnate Kjell Inge Røkke's Aker conglomerate, plans to raise NOK 300 million (USD 33 million) through a private placement to increase its shareholding in Principle Power Inc. (PPI).
The Norwegian company already owns a stake in technology company Principle Power, which is working to develop floating, semi-submersible offshore wind platforms. And now Aker Offshore Wind is utilizing an option to buy additional equity in the company.
