Seadrill keeps losing money – has yet to settle rescue plan

Seadrill's coffers have shrunk USD 160 million from the second to the third quarter, show new figures from the company. Meanwhile, Seadrill says that it has yet to settle its rescue plan but that it remains in talks with its creditors.

John Fredriksen's crisis-stricken rig company, Seadrill, continues to lose money while the company is fighting for its survival.

In the third quarter, Seadrill had USD 851 million available in cash and cash equivalents. This sum is USD 169 million lower than by the end of June, reveals a trading statement for the company's third quarter.
