Maersk Drilling CEO still keeping an eye out for a market with healthy rates

The drilling market isn't quite where it needs to be for Maersk Drilling to gain a healthy financial situation, according to CEO Jørn Madsen. In his view, there might only be three major global drilling companies left in two to three years, he says in an interview with ShippingWatch.

Although the drilling market is slowly but steadily moving in the right direction, it is by no means enough for the industry to be pleased with the rates generated from chartering out jack-ups, vessels or floaters for oil extraction.
