Merger between Maersk Drilling and Noble Corporation is one step closer following Norwegian authorities' approval.

The Norwegian competition authorities have no objections to the merger between Maersk Drilling and Noble Corporation.

In an announcement, Maersk Drilling highlights that the merger is still pending approvals from Danish and British authorities together with "certain other jurisdictions as agreed between the parties," it says.
