Norwegians win giant Angola contract

French Total and Aker Solutions have sealed a contract concerning equipment supplies for a total of USD 2.34 billion.

Oil and gas supplier Aker Solutions has landed a contract with French Total - a contract described by CEO Øystein Eriksen as a "milestone."

The order is worth USD 2.34 billion and covers the delivery of a large quantity of supplies for oil production of the coast of Angola, namely a total of 20 subsea manifolds (photo) as well as 65 vertical subsea well-sets. The order will be delivered from early next year.
