Shipowners' association set to include offshore

The European Community Shipowners' Association, ECSA, will now include the offshore vessel segment in the group of shipping companies the lobbying organization works for.

Recent yeas have seen a significant growth in ships working with offshore, and EU-flagged offshore vessels now account for 37 percent of the world's offshore fleet measured by tonnage. This development now makes the European Community Shipowners' Associations, ECSA, include offshore vessels - such as cable service ships and supply ships servicing, for instance, the offshore wind industry - in its portfolio.
