Maersk Drillling has signed a contract with Wärtsila Danmark on thruster monitoring of seven ultra-deepwater drilling units. The contract is a continuation of the cooperation between Maersk Drilling and Wärtsilä Danmark, Wärtsila writes in a press release.
Maersk Drilling has four ultra-deepwater drillships, of which the 3rd and 4th ship is being built at Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea. Wärtsilä Danmark has signed a ten-year contract on thruster monitoring of the four ships. In addition, Maersk Drilling has three semi-submersible rigs in operation, and here Wärtsilä Danmark has received a five-year contract:
