Subsea 7 to enter US market

Norway-based Subsea 7 is preparing a major push into the US market for energy projects, which has forced the departure of two American board members.

Rules for foreign shipping companies operating on the US market have now directly affected two board members in the Norwegian company Subsea 7.

The Norway-based offshore company is set to turn its attention to energy development related projects executed in US waters, and the company has therefore been forced to change its structure to meet US requirements for non-US companies operating vessels in US waters, Subsea 7 writes in a press release.
