
Norwegian shipping magnate John Fredriksen has turned his thoughts into action and has thus acquired two million shares in drilling rig company Seadrill, according to a brief to the Oslo Stock Exchange.
The acquisition was made through Hemen Holding, which is controlled indirectly by funds established by John Fredriksen, and which is aimed at securing his family. Following the transaction, John Fredriksen owns 115,097,583 shares in Seadrill, corresponding to 23.34 percent.
