Odfjell Drilling wins major contract for Sverdrup

On behalf of the license in the giant Johan Sverdrup field where Maersk Oil is also a partner, Statoil has awarded two contracts to Odfjell Drilling for a value of USD 558 million.

On behalf of the license in the giant Johan Sverdrup field where Maersk Oil is also a partner, Statoil has awarded two contracts to Odfjell Drilling for a value of USD 558 million.

The rig contract contains a three-year charter agreement for Odfjell's Deepsea Atlantic, so-called semi-submersible rig, starting from March 2016. This alone constitutes USD 321 million.
