Maersk to sell new technology to competition

Maersk has developed a new technology to recycle its used lubricating oil, promising enormous fuel savings. Now, the company is set to profit by selling it on the market.

Maersk has developed a device which can both recycle a portion of the lubrication oil used by a ship, reduce wear and tear, and save fuel. 

Use of the technology across approximately 170 ships is expected to generate over USD 150,000 in savings for the company, according to Danish newspaper Børsen.
