Seadrill impairs for USD 1.8 billion

The third quarter interim report shows a massive deficit for John Fredriksen's drilling giant Seadrill. Large-scale impairments completely overshadow the company's revenue.

Offshore drilling rig company Seadrill suffered a deficit of USD 1.9 billion and had a revenue of USD 985 million for the third quarter. The result is primarily caused by impairments totaling USD 1.8 billion, according to the company's third quarter interim report.
