Statoil move to cause hundreds of layoffs at Aker

Aker Solutions, which up until now has been the key supplier for Statoil's maintenance projects, is disappointed by the rejection that will cost the company hundreds of employees as well as hundreds of millions in earnings.

Aker Solutions will fire more employees in 2016. Just one month after the oil service company summed up in its third quarter interim report that one in ten employees will have lost their jobs in 2015, future layoffs are announced.
