Aker Solutions will fire more employees in 2016. Just one month after the oil service company summed up in its third quarter interim report that one in ten employees will have lost their jobs in 2015, future layoffs are announced.
The reason is that from the second quarter of next year, Aker Solutions will lose all maintenance and modifications contracts (MMO) for Statoil on the Norwegian Shelf. This was made clear after the Norwegian company appointed four other companies on Tuesday to be so-called key suppliers on the projects for the next up to ten years.
