Aker Solutions to cut upwards of 900 jobs
Offshore supplier Aker Solutions will fire as many as 900 employees in a new round of layoffs. Half of the 900 jobs will be cut right away, while the fate of the remaining 450 will be decided by the order intake this year.

The decline in offshore activity is now forcing Norwegian subcontractor Aker Solutions into another round of layoffs. In a press release, Aker announces that up to 900 executives and employees based in the Norwegian cities of Stavanger, Bergen, Kristiansund, Tromsø, Trondheim and Sandnessjøen, as well as in offshore could be affected.
