Halliburton axes 5000 workers

The US oil service company Halliburton faces yet another comprehensive firing round. The layoffs will hit employees all over the world.

The rounds of layoffs are washing over US oil giant Halliburton like waves. The company, according to CNN, has just announced 5,000 layoffs at the global level, corresponding to about eight percent of the total workforce.
