Havila Shipping lost USD 173 million in 2015

Offshore carrier Havila finished 2015 with a deficit of USD 172.9 million, of which a majority stems from fleet impairments. Negotiations with lenders remain unresolved.

Norwegian offshore carrier Havila Shipping has published its annual report 2015 while the carrier is simultaneously struggling to convince its lenders to accept a new agreement.

As is the case for numerous carriers in the sector, major impairments take a big toll on the figures, which in Havila's case come to a bottom line deficit of USD 172.9 million. A big decline from USD 4.5 million in 2014.
