Havila loses another Petrobras contract

Brazil's oil company Petrobras has prematurely canceled a contract for a supply vessel from Havila Shipping. This is the second time this year that the Brazilian company cancels a contract with the struggling Norwegian carrier.

Brazilian oil company Petrobras has canceled a contract on a supply vessel from Norwegian offshore carrier Havila Shipping, says the carrier in a corporate statement.

The contract relates to a so-called Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) and is being canceled three months early because of regulations which protect Brazilian ships from competition with foreign vessels.
