Deep Sea Supply replaces oil business with fishery

Struggling offshore carrier Deep Sea Supply enters a new joint venture with salmon harvest giant Marine Harvest concerning the establishment of a carrier for the transportation of fish from aquaculture. The new company will now invest in newbuildings.

Deep Sea Supply has been hit by the low oil price which has damaged earnings and forced the sector into drastic austerity measures. For this reason, the Norwegian offshore carrier is now turning to a different and more lucrative industry in its home country.
