Media: Maersk Oil considers cutting out several countries

Going forward, individual countries must have a certain size if they wish to remain part of Maersk Oil, CEO Jakob Thomasen tells Danish media Berlingske. Major savings at the oil company are expected to make an impact this year.

Maersk Oil is weighing whether its strategy of having activities all over the world is the right way to go, reports Danish media Berlingske. Going forward, individual countries must have a certain size if they wish to remain part of the company, which is currently under pressure from the low oil price.
