At the moment, Søren Skou serves as CEO of Maersk Line as well as for the whole Maersk Group. He was awarded the latter title this June when Nils Smedegaard Andersen was dismissed as Chief Executive and a strategic review was announced for all of Maersk.

When the strategic review is completed, Søren Skou expects to remain CEO of the whole group, but he will bid farewell to his title as CEO of Maersk Line. He tells Lloyd's List that his capacity as dual CEO for both Maersk Line and the Maersk Group was only intended to last for a limited period of time.
