A team of four people, according to ShippingWatch's sources, make up the pivotal part of the ongoing work aimed at setting a new strategy and structure for the Maersk Group. CEO Søren Skou is keeping quiet about this work so far. The quote above is the closest he comes to hinting at the future.

It was a marker of new times in every possible way for Maersk when Søren Skou, who also serves as CEO of Maersk Line, this Friday presented his first interim report as Chief Executive of all the group's business units.

Whereas his predecessor until June, Nils Smedegaard Andersen, would thoroughly review the four core businesses and the fifth division, for years with a confident demeanor because he could proudly claim that Maersk was performing better than the market and the competition, Søren Skou was more modest when speaking on the occasion. In fact, his presentation was over in just a few minutes.
