151 Norwegian offshore vessels idle and unemployed

Almost one fourth of the entire Norwegian offshore fleet is now idled, says a Norwegian export bank to local media Aftenposten. The bank also criticizes the offshore carriers for not cooperating better.

Norwegian offshore carriers have sent hundreds of vessels to layup as a result of the low oil price.

Currently, 151 of 630 vessels are idled. This corresponds to almost one fourth of the aggregate fleet being without employment, writes Norwegian media Aftenposten.no.
