Lundin: Close to 70 percent of Johan Sverdrup will be finished this year

Nearly 70 percent of the giant Johan Sverdrup project is expected completed before the year is over, says Lundin Petroleum, a partner of Maersk and Statoil on the giant field. The Swedish oil company improved its results significantly in the first half of the year.

Although first oil is not expected to be pumped from the underground until the end of 2019, development of the giant Norwegian field Johan Sverdrup has progressed big-time, says Swedish oil company Lundin Petroleum after publishing its quarterly report Wednesday.
