Prosafe postpones old Lauritzen rigs

Prosafe has opted to postpone two flotels which it took over when acquiring Axis Offshore at the turn of the year. The rigs were ordered when Axis Offshore was partly-owned by Danish carrier J. Lauritzen.

Prosafe has once again opted to postpone the delivery of two hotel rigs, or 'flotels', which were taken over in connection with the acquisition of its competitor Axis Offshore.

The rigs were ordered back in 2013, when Axis Offshore was owned by Danish carrier J. Lauritzen and the capital fund Hitec Vision.

3i buys AMP out of Esvagt

Private equity firm 3i, which owns half of carrier Esvagt, has agreed with the company's second owner, AMP Capital, to take over all of Esvagt for GBP 268 million, making 3i the sole owner. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022.
