DP World issues warning to terminal operators in Djibouti

Rumors that the government of Djibouti is entering contracts with other companies for the construction and operation of ports in the country have prompted DP World to issue a warning regarding the company's existing concession deal.

DP World's concession to operate Doraleh Container Terminal in Djibouti is legally binding and applies in full, stresses the Dubai-based port operator in a public notice directed at any party with plans to build and operate a port in the East African nation, which could challenge the validity of DP World's concession agreement with the Djibouti government.
