Port of Hamborg's exec is not losing sleep over China

One in three containers floating though the Port of Hamburg is on its way to or from China. And yet, port executive Axel Mattern is not worried about the turmoil surrounding the Chinese economy. There is still a momentum, says Mattern in an interview with ShippingWatch.

The Port of Hamburg is the biggest hub in Europe for goods shipped to and from China and would presumably be hit hard if the bleaker projections for the Chinese economy hold true.

But despite a growing field of observers voicing concerns about the health of the world's top growth driver, the port's chief executive officer, Axel Mattern, is calm.
